Katerina Alcantara/Montenegro (Julia Montes) escaped from her psychotic husband, Nathaniel "Nathan" Montenegro (Paolo Avelino). Katerina then received a call from Daniel Cruz/Guidotti (Coco Martin) wherein Katerina did not inform Daniel about what happened to her and Nathan. Katerina did not inform Daniel about what happened because Daniel and Nathan will surely fight. Meanwhile, at the prestigious restaurant where Emily worked, Margaret Cruz/Montenegro (Helen Gamboa) together with her friends went to see Emily Cardenas/Guidotti (Dawn Zulueta). Margaret humiliated Emily in front of her friends, revealing how Emily became rich. Later that time, Margaret intentionally dropped her things in front of Emily and asked Emily to pick it up. Since Emily had no reaction towards Margaret's humiliation, Margaret then asked the Manager's assistance, letting Emily do what Margaret wanted. Despite Margaret's insults, Emily still defended herself by not giving Margaret her things properly. Margaret was very mad at Emily's actions but her anger was stopped by her son, Marco Montenegro (Richard Gomez). Marco protected Emily from her mother's humiliation and informed everybody at the restaurant that he loves Emily.
