September 5, 2012. Recently, Tomas Alcantara (Joem Bascon) had a conversation with his biological mother, Luisa Alcantara/Reyes (Sharmaine Buencamino) wherein Luisa asked Tomas' forgiveness. Luisa admitted all her faults and how much she regretted it. Tomas, on the other hand, was not convinced of Luisa's sincere apology wherein he let Luisa realize how much he suffered having no mother while growing up. Tomas also let Luisa see that he became a bad person because of not growing up with a mother and let Luisa see his achievements without her guidance. Meanwhiel, at the Alcantara Hacienda, Nathaniel "Nathan" Montenegro (Paolo Avelino) visited Katerina Alcantara/Montenegro (Julia Montes) and threatened her about their relationship. Nathan warned Katerina not to fool him again especially regarding her relationship to Daniel because Nathan won't have second thoughts in killing Luisa. Concurrently, inside prison, Daniel Cruz/Guidotti (Coco Martin) was tasked to clean the bathroom when suddenly, a group of men attacked and stabbed him. The inmates who tried to kill Daniel were stopped when some of the police officers arrived. Daniel was then rushed to the hospital, unconscious. The police officers who brought Daniel to the hospital then called Emilia "Emily" Cardenas/Guidotti (Dawn Zulueta) and informed her about what happened to Daniel. Emily was very shocked and hurriedly went to the hospital together with Virginia Cruz (Susan Roces). Upon Emily and Virginia's arrival at the hospital, Emily then interrogated the medical staff about what really happened to Daniel but none of them gave her an information. Later that time, Marco Montenegro (Richard Gomez) together with Margaret Cruz/Montenegro (Helen Gamboa), Nathan and Johanna Montenegro (Melissa Ricks) arrived, showing their sympathy towards what happened to Daniel. Later that time, the jail warden conversed with Daniel's family, informing them about what happened to Daniel inside the prison. They talked about how many inmates are responsible of stabbing Daniel and how the chaos started. Surprisingly, Daniel's family knew from the jail warden that Miguel Ramos (Nonie Buencamino) is at the same prison with Daniel. Emily reacted badly, asking the jail warden why he let Daniel and Miguel at the same jail. Emily together with Marco then informed the jail warden that Miguel tried to kill Daniel and Emily a couple times before when Miguel was still free.
